Pilger Pumpkin Festival

 

 

Pilger is a small village in Saskatchewan, Canada, located one hundred kilometers north east of Saskatoon. Its population hovers at about one hundred people. The town’s industries include farming, a bar & restaurant, and a general store providing groceries, a coffee shop, gas station and postal outlet and home to the Pilger Pumpkin festival in the fall. During the festival the village swells to well over 500 people, extended families and tourists converge on the village to take in the various pumpkin related festivities.
